VIC Mentor Update – August 2016
by Janine Hayes
There has been lots happening at the DZ’s in Victoria in spite of some soggy ground. Gumboots or waterproof socks being the additional attire for the smartly dressed skydiver (or if you are desperate plastic shopping bags come in handy), still it has not deterred Star Crests, 4 Way training and Canopy Courses.
Christian Peric led the charge for the July Starcrests at Nagambie with 8 and 9 ways. Congratulations to Jordan and Milos on achieving their star crests.
J9 will be leading the weekend of the 13 and 14 August 2016.
At Commando Skydivers it was all about basic canopy skills with Justin de Waard with 9 jumpers putting their skills to the test last weekend in challenging conditions.
Great canopy skills are fundamental for Bigways so take the opportunity to get on a course, you can never know enough to make all the mistakes yourself and its amazing what a refresher can do.
