Our Speed Star event on Australia Day weekend was a hit at Toogs with 30 participants, including some newly certified B licence jumpers. With the directive from Dan BC in Moruya to develop speed in diving and approach, this was a great opportunity for those coming to Perris to continue to work on their skills and for others to have some fun and develop their RW skills.

After three rounds of racing to build, 360s galore we finished with many smiles and overall team ‘Kevin’ winning with 60 points. Honourable mention to team Vegemite Kids with the fastest time of 18.14 and most points in a round of 23.

After the event finished, jumpers still wanted more and planned for a 10 way jump. A big thank you to Alex Cattaneo for organising the jump that saw Gio and Ben (new B licence jumpers) successfully gain their first star crest jumps. Woohoo congrats guys!
