State Mentors, Volunteers & Events:

As we are nearing our next record attempt in May 2019 the desire for quality events are ever increasing; as preparation in improving personal flying and Bigways skills. Someone organises these events and it typically falls on dedicated volunteers and our State Mentors. Thank you for spending the time to get this work done for us all!

NSW has our largest contingent of Bigway flyers, so in order to assist Calder in this state we now have Deb Hobbs on board to help with coordinating and organising events. Deb Hobbs participated at both the 2010 & 2015 Aussie Record Events and brings much experience with her to the team and others who require advice and guidance in what it takes to make a Record! Deb brings a huge personality of enthusiasm and dedication to the team. Thank you Deb!

We also have Alan ‘Mossy’ Moss joining our ranks as the North Qld State Mentor and as one of our highly qualified Bigway Coaches. Mossy was a participant at the 300way World Record, he has represented Australia in 4way, 8way, 16ways and Canopy Piloting. Mossy brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and dedication to the table to assist the Aussie Bigways team to up-skill Australia! We will hear more about and from Mossy soon… stay tuned.

Save the Date for our Aussie Bigways Premier Events:
18 – 25 November 2017 (Moruya DZ)
2 – 5 December 2017 (York DZ)

Planning is full steam ahead for our Premier Events in 2017 with Doug Forth. An email will come shortly announcing further details and registration dates for both events. Stay tuned… don’t just pencil in these dates, USE A PEN!

You seriously won’t want to miss these events!

The highly successful Premier Event in Nagambie was designed by Dan BC. We will repeat this same format for our Moruya event, including Sequential Record attempts under the guidance of P3 coach Doug Forth. Our Dan BC post event survey provided valuable feedback to the Aussie Bigways Leadership Team and Coaches; our training events will be even better!

More to come; enjoy the journey!
