Captains Call February 2019

Hello everyone and welcome to February 2019’s edition of the Aussie Bigways Newsletters.

We really are starting to get to the business end of our National Large Formation Record Event now – just 3 & ½ months until it all kicks off at Perris Valley California.
Where has the last 4 years gone? I have heard that said many times of late !!

Registrations for our event now stand at 110 Australian / Permanent Australian Residents. A tremendous effort and commitment. We still have some who have indicated they are definitely coming but have yet to register and some others who are sitting on the fence !

Well – we have the numbers now but the more we have, the better off we are. If you know of someone, speak to your local mentor about them – or even approach them yourselves.
The “Friends of Aussies” is up to 25% of our record slots and these slots are highly sort after. We will be seeing some pretty awesome bigway skydivers joining our Team to help us make a new Aussie record.

Perris Aircraft / Sector Captains

Last month I listed the Aircraft / Sector Captains locked in the Event, once again they are:

Here are some pretty amazingly talented people to lead us during the Aussie Record Event.

So – we are getting closer now, people should have their holidays sorted, be booking or have booked accommodation, and their airfares. They are also chatting with others about sharing vehicles and making transport plans. Our website Perris 2019 page has a wealth of information about the event. Also visit our Facebook page to get in touch with others attending Perris to coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements.

Now is also a good time while our Aussie $$ is a little high to be thinking about getting some money onto an account at Perris Valley Drop Zone through Manifest or through the P3 Team. Rumour seems to be saying it is going to go down a bit more this year. Email Brenda to arrange a funds transfer to your Perris Account – events@p3skydiving.com

WIN 15mins iFLY TUNNEL TIME! Draw in February

Last month I mentioned we still have 4 more draws of 15mins of Wind Tunnel time up for grabs as encouragement for those who have registered with P3. This last draw will take place late Feb with the results being posted on our website ASAP after the draw. No cost involved – if you’re registered for Perris then your name is in the draw!

Perris Volunteers – Partners Program

We are seeking volunteers to assist with some tasks during our stay at Perris. Ideally, these volunteers would be partners of those attending the event as those participating need to stay focused on the job at hand.

Please check the Aussie Bigways Event Calendar on our website, there are a number of smaller Events occurring around the country between now and early May, keep those bigway skills sharp and maintain your currency.

So jump safe everyone and keep working on your bigway skills and preparing everything required for Perris. There is a ton of great information on our website to please visit there regularly.
