Captains Call November 2016
by Greg Jack
Hi everyone and welcome to November’s edition of our monthly Newsletter.
I spent 9 awesome days Load Organising up at Toogoolawah during EQUINOX early in October with Mark “Stretch” Szulmayer, and over that time we had about 25 to 30 bigway enthusiasts making from 13 to 14 ways up to formations loads attempting 27 ways. Over that time we made about 42 loads of Big Way jumps including 6 formation loads [2 caravans] and encouraged Aussie Big Way skills and techniques throughout. We made new friends, made some lots of safe, great jumps including many completions and saw more people sign up to our mailing list.
I look forward to catching up and jumping up with some of the Bigway Gang who jumped at EQUINOX when we meet again next in early December at Nagambie for the DAN BC Big Way Event.
Also during last week I spent Saturday afternoon at the I-Fly Wind Tunnel at Penrith, Sydney watching a part of one of Melissa Harvie’s Supercharge Camps, closely supported by her trusty super sidekick LG !!!
What was just fantastic about this was the level of progression that had been made in the past day and a half with that much time still to go – Steve Cusato ……………who said you could not do “all that stuff” ?
Magic news also was all 4 participants are absolutely committed to Perris Valley in 2019 – outstanding !!
Another month down and next time I write we will be about to start the Aussie Bigways Premier Event for 2016 – The Dan BC Big Way Camp at Nagambie, the tireless Tracey Basman is still putting the finishing touches to that event now as our National Event co-ordinator – Yay !!!
See you all there
Blue Ones,
Greg
