VIC – Dan BC’s Bigway Skills Camp & Sequential Record Attempts

FOR DAN BC’S BIGWAY CAMP & SEQUENTIAL RECORD EVENT

Hello!

There have been a few questions about the outline of the event, hence a summary below. Of course, more details to follow including our check in and meet time on Saturday.

Event Summary:

We are flying in two caravans for our event

Sat 3rd Dec:

Event Check in, Welcoming Dinner, Bigway Briefing and Presentation by Dan BC
You won’t want to miss this! Times to be advised

Sun 4th – Tues 6th Dec:

16way formations moving to 32way formation loads, from up to 15,000 feet
Dan BC will be ground coaching. This means everyone will have an equal piece of Dan BC and his expertise in Dirt Diving and Debriefing each team
We have 6 incredibly experienced Bigway coaches to assist Dan BC in jumping with each group.
Each coach brings much to the table and will be assisting Dan in coaching and organising the teams. These are:

• Mark ‘Stretch’ Szulmayer
• Andrew Barker
• Greg Jack
• LJ Wobker (from the USA)

Wed 7th Dec Day off / Weather Day:

This will need to be flexible and determined during the event once weather is considered
‘Coach the Coach’ seminar for Star Crest and Bigway Coaches
Dan BC will be providing invaluable information, tips and guidance to coaches in preparing them to train our Aussie Bigways team leading up to May 2019
A personal invitation will be emailed to those invited to attend. These will be emailed out next week.

Thurs 8th – Sat 10th Dec:

32ways formation loads from up to 18,000 feet using Oxygen
NOTE: Everyone is jumping! The camp and learning continues for every participant!
We have 96 participants, thus 3 groups x 32 participants

One 32way group will attempt an Australian Sequential Record.
Dan BC will be selecting this 32way team from performance displayed from the previous jumping camp days. Any and all slots are up for grabs!!

The other two groups x 32ways will act as a bench load for the sequential record group – all jumps will be from up to 18000 feet using oxygen.

There will be no ring-ins for the Sequential Record! We have enough talent with our 96 participants!
We do welcome and invite outsiders with the required skill level to join us on the bench load groups if we need to fills plane slots.
Otherwise only those attending the entire camp will be on the sequential record. Got it?! Spread the word!

BONUS – THOSE JUMPING ON THE BENCH LOADS GET TO JUMP WITH DAN BC!!!!!
Yes, you are reading correctly! Dan is not jumping on the Sequential Record; he will devote his time to continue the learning and will jump with the bench loads.
Thus we all win either way…

Once the Sequential Record(s) have been achieved, we will regroup and continue our camp jumping awesome 32ways with oxygen from up to 18,000 feet

I hope you like the event plan. This was Dan BC’s idea and I think it is a good one.
The Aussie Bigway Leadership team and State Mentors are working hard behind the scenes to bring an awesome event to Australia.
It is going to be so much fun! Any downtime will be jammed packed full of workshops, seminars, briefings…

Either way you will come away from this event with a skydiving mind explosion!

Ticket Prices

We have finalised negotiations on the ticket prices and as promised, are now publishing the result before the of this month. Thanks to our aircraft and the drop zone owners supporting the Aussie Bigways Team, we could keep the prices as originally estimated.

We have decided to reduce the number of estimated jumps on our first day of jumping on Sunday to four, considering it will be a learning day for everyone. Then an estimated four jumps on Thursday, which will be our first day of jumping with Oxygen from 18000, another major learning day for the team.

Thus, the total outlay will be $1,540.00 for jump tickets

Ticket Payment

Full payment of $1,540 for your jump tickets is required by the 15^th November.

Any tickets not jumped will be refunded in full after the event.

Your bank account details will be required for a refund so please bring these with you to the event

If you haven’t booked your accommodation, you might want to think about doing this before too long.

Packers

Please send an email to Scott Clarke, our Event Ground Logistics Co-ordinator, if you require the use of a packer during the event: simlark@yahoo.com

Those who have booked a packer in advance will have priority packing over those only requiring the casual pack job.

Cost is $10 per pack

Meal Deal

We have our very own chef cooking three amazing meals per day! Information has already been emailed on this subject and thank you for those who have replied.
